Pain Redeemed (review and give-a-way) 31 Days of Truth {Day 6}

“Life is pain your Highness, and anyone telling you differently is selling you something”, while you might have differing views on whether or not you actually like Princess Bride, Wesley does have a point. Life has a lot of pain in it. It will look differently for all of us. Proverbs 14:10 says

Each heart knows its own bitterness,
and no one else can share its joy.

We each have our own pain, and we don’t always understand each other’s pain  – but what binds us together is that we both experience pain. In her book “Pain Redeemed” Natasha writes about her struggle with infertility. But much, much more, then infertility Natasha writes to other hearts experiencing pain of any kind and points them back to the One who redeems. This book isn’t about what we would think of as “happy endings”, but about redemption in the journey, in the here and now. Not just in the “some day”.

“If I can’t figure out how to stand up to the enemy’s attacks now, today – then changing my circumstances won’t change my sorrow.

God allows fog.

He allows it because He wants to build our faith. He is working and changing – whether we can see in the moment or not. He bled and died and rose so we could be free. It’s not enough to just say, “Okay, God, I believe in you. Save me” Doing that might break the chains of the enemy, but we still have to walk out of the dungeon. We have to live like we’re saved.”

Pain Redeemed is about learning to live like we are saved – learning to be victorious in the midst of all levels of pain and heart ache.

No matter your age or status this book will speak to you! My pain is not infertility – but truth is still truth, and this book was a big blessing to me! If you hurt, or if someone close to you hurts, read this book. It’s a great description of the ups and downs of the journey – but most of all His faithfulness! You can buy Pain Redeemed from Natasha (or Amazon) as an eBook for $4.99. (It’s the best $4.99 you can spend. Trust me! It’s way worth skipping that extra cup of coffee for.)

I enjoyed the eBook so much that I’d love to give a way a copy to one of you! The give a way will end on Tuesday evening (10/9/12), so enter today! (click through the links below, or visit the give-a-way page via Not Unredeemed on Face book to enter).
